I moved here 19 years ago from a poor country as a refugee. Never carried a dollar in credit card debt. When we first moved here, we bought a $600 computer with 6 months same as cash. Made the last payment a few days too late and had to pay about $60 in interest.
Ever since, I never paid a dollar on credit cards - only on mortgage and car payment interest. If I can ever give any advice to anyone, that is to never fall into credit card debt, not even a buck. It’s a vicious circle, one that makes billions for credit card companies.
So, have that drink - it’s 5 o’clock somewhere !

completely agree - I distinctly remember paying off my first car loan, paid for with my own money, from my own job and thinking I was at least a marginally successful human.
